Other Worship

Sunday Café

Three or four times a year our Sunday worship takes the form of a Sunday Cafe held in Denholm Church Hall.  The cafe opens at 10am.  A warm welcome is given to all by way of coffees and teas.  An offering plate is available.  After a time of socialising around the tables, a time of informal worship is lead by the Worship Team.  This includes well known hymns of praise, a short Scripture reading and prayer and a reflection on a theme taken from those.  A facilitated discussion or activity around the theme takes place around the tables when a second cup of tea or cofffee is offered - a time to simply listen or offer your own thoughts.

‘Reflect & Remember’

This is held annually at the end of November as an opportunity for quiet reflections on bereavements and other losses before the festive season begins. Denholm Church is open with a short act of worship at 2pm. There is the opportunity to name loved ones on our ‘Stars for Remembrance’ tree; these names will be included in our prayers during our Christmas worship.

Monthly Worship - Bonchester Bridge Care Centre

2pm – second Wednesdays of the Month.  The Minister and members of the congregation lead monthly worship at the care home. The December worship is Carol Singing with Hawick Salvation Army organised by Hobkirk and Southdean Guild.

Worship at Home

If you are unable to attend worship at church for prolonged periods, the Minister can lead a short act of worship in your home, including Communion if you wish. Please contact her to arrange this.
